Jim Webberding and Laura Ochs had individually spent the fall,winter and spring of 1999 as Task Force Worker/Assistant Pastors in the Washington Conference. Jim was the Assistant Pastor for Shelton and Elma SDA Churches, while Larua Ochs was the Assistant Pastor for the Lacey Church. During this time they announced their engagement to each other.
On May 16, 1999, they were married in the Shelton SDA Church, complete with a caravan of special interest cars provided by fellow ARC members. Jim and Laura are members of the Adventist Rodders Club. Not only was the wedding unusual in that it was an ARC event, but it proved to be one the finest wedding programs ever with two great people committing their lives to each other and the Lord.
