ARC Americruise 2001
July 3-8, 2001
was the second nationwide ARC event. ARC members traveled to the
Oregon Coast to attend the six day event based at Coos Bay Bay,
OR. Organized by Earl and Bev Hempstead, this was a very action-packed,
eventful time visiting the sites of the area. Each morning Hempsteads
treated us with breakfast. The activities included touring a cheese
factory and sampling the products, visiting a glass blowing shop,
an antique store and quilt shop. We picniced on the beach and
drove our cars south along the beautiful Oregon Coast. Other tours
included a rose garden and a wood carving shop. Coastal tidelands
were hiked and explored, and sand dunes were driven on by four-wheel
drive.
