ARC Americruise 2000

July 3-5, 2000 was the first-ever nationwide ARC event. ARC members traveled from five states to attend the three day event based at Campion Academy in Loveland, CO. Organized by Mike Michaelson, Bob and Diana Gabriella and Kevin and Kathy Binder. This was for sure the most organized ARC ever, with dash plaques, goodie bags, and a full schedule of fun and variety.

June 30 - July 3 - Part of the Fun is Caravaning to Colorado

• Ameri-cruise Caravaning - Bob and Kathi McKinney drove their 57 Thunderbird all the way from the Pacific coast and back with the top off at least part of every day! What an adventure!
• Ameri-cruise Caravaning - Some trailered their rods while other drove them all the way
• Sabbath Fellowship - ARC members join Sabbath services at the LaGrande SDA Church, in LaGrande, OR
• Ameri-cruise Caravaning - The red cliffs of the western Rockies were amazing to see...all the better with rods in tow.
• 50's Diner - Sunday lunch was at a classic 50's diner in Glenwood Springs, CO
• 50's Diner - Before leaving the "Diner" we took a group picture, which the owner was going to hang in the diner with the ARC Americruise 2000 business card.

July 3 - ARC Members Check in at Loveland

• Gabriella Family Enjoys Rumble Seat - Bob and Diana Gabriella make their 36 Ford coupe a family affair
• Loveland Lineup- People from five states registered for the three day event

July 4 &5 - Parading, Pathfinders and Fireworks, Rod and Classic Car Shops and 11000 Foot Elevation Cruisin

• Independence Day Parade - Two Pathfinders carry the ARC banner in front of the ARC cars in the Parade
• Classic Car Restoration Shop Tour - Arc members browse around with hands in pockets as million dollar cars are in restoration, including one owned by comedian, Jay Leno.
• Classic Car Restoration Shop Tour - Classics at every turn! - what at treat this stop was!
• Classic Car Restoration Shop Tour - ARC member, Terry Olson checks out the detail on this blue classic race car.
• Custom Rod Shop Tour- Terry Loss looks on longingly at a beautiful 40 Ford nearing completion
• Custom Rod Shop Tour- The stuff dreams are made of!
• Custom Rod Shop Tour- The ladys especially like this just completed beautiful Deuce roadster
• Custom Rod Shop Tour- This is an example of what these guys start with - this deuce coupe was extremely low mileage but had been hacked with an axe! Hard to image that it will look as nice as the red Deuce roadster when its done!
• Custom Rod Shop Tour- Shop staff explain the process of installing a customer independent rear suspension to Terry Loss and Gene Bresee
• Visiting a Automotive Memorabilia Store - ARC cars line up in front to drop by this great shop
• Visiting a Automotive Memorabilia Store - This shop displayed antique service station signs, gas pumps, books, and pedal cars.
• Shopping in the "Dam Store" - As we gained elevation on the way to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, we stop for a break.
• Fun and Games - Each stop of the "Car Quest" we played games for points and prized - Here Earl Hempstead lands a piston ring around a bottle for a prize
