1950 Chevy Fleetline
Melanie Leiske, at 16, bought her own 1950 Chevy 2
Door Fleetline. The car was stock, with a rebuilt 6 cylinder engine.
The car had new interior and sported a visor, fender skirts, headlight
eyelids, and bluedot taillights. She spent the next couple of
years with her limited spare time doing body work in preparation
for paint.
Now, at 18 years old, she has added new radeial wide
white wall tires and "Smoothie" wheels. She has completed
the bodywork and block sanding the triple coat of epoxy primer.
The car in the picture below now sports a top coat of deep black
primer.
Now the finished product...in a shiny coat of Black
Currant paint! She calls it "Plumb Crazy."
